The new Firestone Roadhawk tyre is a product clearly aiming to take advantage of a perceived opportunity in the mid-range; it has been launched in a range of 15-19 inch sizes, following the trend for larger rims on family cars and touring models, and has been designed with longevity and performance throughout the life of the tread as a prominent feature.
Firestone adds that TÜV SÜD tests show the Firestone Roadhawk outperforms its competitors in the wet after 20,000km wear. The tyre represents a leap forward from its predecessor in terms of wear too – it offers up to 20 per cent better wear performance than the Firestone TZ300. The construction features a lightweight carcass tuned for low rolling resistance.
