Test win underscores all-season commitment, says Goodyear

The recent ADAC all-season tyre test highlighted the ‘good’ in Goodyear, and the tyre maker is very happy with the result its Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 achieved. A year after becoming the first all-season product to gain a ‘good’ rating in an ADAC comparative evaluation, the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 returned to take joint first in the motoring club’s 2025 all-season tyre test.

Commenting on its win, Goodyear says the new test results highlight the tyre’s well-balanced performance, reinforcing the value of innovative Goodyear technologies and outlining why the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 is a “top choice” for consumers and business fleets. “The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3’s well balanced performance and leading mileage delivers exceptional value for consumers and fleets,” adds Ben Glesener, Senior Director, Technology Consumer, EMEA, Goodyear. “This recognition from ADAC underscores our commitment to provide cost-effective tyres with high performance for all-season driving.”

The Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 stood out as the best tyre for mileage in the ADAC test. It lasted an estimated 68,000 kilometres before tread wear. It also impressed with its outstanding environmental balance and gained praise for its “very low abrasion, low weight and low fuel consumption.”

Four ‘good’ tyres

ADAC examined 16 all-season tyres in size 225/45 R17, examining safety performance in dry, wet and winter conditions (70 per cent of total score) and factors related to efficiency and sustainability (30 per cent). The Goodyear tyre tied for first place with the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 but scored slightly higher in the driving safety disciplines.

The motoring association gave its ‘good’ rating to Goodyear and Continental as well as two further tyres, the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 and Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6. It rated a further four tyres ‘satisfactory’, four tyres as ‘adequate’, but also gave a non-recommended ‘poor’ rating to four products.
