Tyre maker Pirelli is one of the partners in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship film to be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman in collaboration with F1 Group and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Directed by Joseph Kosinksi, filming of the still-unnamed movie began earlier this month at Silverstone during the British Grand Prix. Starring Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate on APXGP, a fictional 11th team on the grid.
The APXGP team cars are equipped with Pirelli tyres, as are all the tyres that will be used during filming. The logo of the FIA Formula One World Championship’s Global Tyre Partner also appears on the front wing and nose of Pitt and his teammate’s car.
