5 from 8 UHP tyres ‘very good’ in sport auto test

With this in mind, German car magazine sport auto used two vehicles for its 2021 summer tyre test. The chosen duo were the Toyota Supra and BMW Z4, cars that share a platform and come equipped with the same-sized tyres, but are developed to satisfy different customer requirements.

WhatTyre Awards 2021: SUV tyre nominations

This March we are introducing the inaugural WhatTyre Tyre of the Year Awards – an authoritative ranking of the best tyres out there. This starts with publishing our nominations of the highest-performing tyres across six key categories, namely: summer, winter, all-season, UHP, SUV and electric vehicle-orientated tyres. The length of each list differs in each category because of the range of tyre manufacturers and products in each segment, but every list has been scrutinised just as closely. The long-lists will be followed by our recommended short-lists as well as, of course, category winners. The coverage begins here with our nominations of which tyres to consider when it is time to change the treads on your Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

Michelin top in ams supermini tyre test

But auto motor und sport (ams) notes that testers tend to overlook the tyres they wear in favour of wider, sportier models. The German car magazine has addressed this paucity of test data by examining 11 tyre brands in size 195/55 R16H.

Auto Bild has released the results of its 2021 summer tyre test, and the biggest names in the business needed to clear space on the top step of the winners’ podium for an ambitious competitor. The runner-up premium tyre was also given a run for its money by the third-placed candidate, a lower-priced product from the same manufacturer.
