The next few years will see an explosion in the replacement tyre fitment options available to electric car drivers. Sales of electric cars (EVs) in the UK and Europe are set to continue to accelerate up to deadlines dictating the end of new internal combustion engine-powered (ICE) cars into the next decade. For the replacement tyre market – the tyres bought at garages to replace the tyres originally fitted to the car from new – the effects of this will gradually become more important over the next five years.

Everton and Davanti Tyres have used their partnership to help a local grassroots football club which lost all its sporting and fitness equipment in an arson attack. MSB Woolton FC, which hosts 151 teams at its Camp Hill base in south Liverpool, was devastated after storage units packed with all their goalposts, balls, cones, boots and bibs, was set ablaze last month. Club volunteers quickly reacted by fundraising; Everton Global Tyre Partner Davanti Tyres, which has Merseyside roots and is based near the city, have made a generous £3,000 donation to help the fund on its way.

As of next season, Hankook will be the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship tyre supplier. The news came out at The Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Austria on 27 September. WhatTyre was there and saw the Gen3 Formula E vehicle close-up plus Hankook being officially presented with the newly developed Hankook iON race tyres.

Bespoke P Zero Corsa tyres connect the Utopia with the road in size 265/35ZR21 at the front and 325/30ZR22 at the rear. Pirelli also offers a tailor-made P Zero Winter tyre for colder conditions.
