New Hankook Ventus evo performance tyre offers performance and longevity in all conditions

Hankook will launch the fourth generation in its Ventus evo range of ultra-high performance tyres early in 2025. The new tyre, simply called the Hankook Ventus evo, increases longevity 32% over predecessor while also improving wet and dry grip for changeable weather, making it an interesting tyre for UK drivers. Hankook said the tyre has used Artificial Intelligence to enhance its compound mixing process to “overcome traditional trade-offs”. The new product line, which carries the product number K137, combines outstanding wet grip with impressively low rolling resistance and high mileage.

Tyre safety a national focus as TyreSafe hails RoSPA strategy report’s ‘pivotal change’

Tyres are now featured within the ‘Safer Lives, Stronger Nation: The National Accident Prevention Strategy (NAPS) Report’. The report brings critical attention to vehicle defects as an overlooked cause of road collisions. Drivers already have a legal requirement to ensure the roadworthiness of their tyres. However, the large and increasing number of illegal tyres on the roads and MOT failures due to defective tyres suggests that too many do not give them adequate attention. Road safety organisation TyreSafe has called for greater recognition that defective tyres require more attention, and hails their inclusion in the report as a "pivotal change" in national road safety strategy.
