Goodyear has announced plans to expand its UltraGrip Performance 3 winter tyre range significantly throughout 2024. During the year, the tyre maker will introduce over 40 new SKUs to the market. Many of these new additions are already available, and Goodyear states that this expansion not only boosts its presence in the winter tyre segment but also highlights its commitment to this market.
Catering to modern vehicles
A noteworthy 90 per cent of the new UltraGrip Performance 3 sizes will be 19 inches and larger, reflecting the industry’s shift towards bigger rim sizes. Goodyear has designed the tyre to suit a wide variety of modern vehicles, including popular electric vehicles (EVs) such as the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer, Renault 5 E-Tech, Porsche Taycan, and BMW i5. The UltraGrip Performance 3 is EV-ready, with features that enhance efficiency and reduce interior noise, making it a perfect match for the latest vehicle models.
Winter technologies
Goodyear’s UltraGrip Performance 3 stands out for its exceptional grip and performance in winter conditions, thanks to its Snow Protect Technology and Wet Grip+ Technology, which optimise the tyre for winter driving.
The tyre has proven its excellence in extreme winter conditions, earning numerous accolades in European tyre tests. Auto Bild notably recognised the UltraGrip Performance 3 in 2023, awarding it the titles of ‘Eco-Master’ and ‘Green Tyre’ for 2023/24.
Enhanced comfort and convenience
Beyond performance, the UltraGrip Performance 3 also offers significant comfort and convenience. Goodyear’s SoundComfort technology reduces road noise, ensuring a quieter driving experience, while SealTech can effectively seal tread penetrations up to 5mm in diameter, providing drivers with greater peace of mind.
